Day 3 without fb !

Well i cant stress how different life feels not looking at the devils networking site  . I find myself with more time and less moody . I only feel a small urge to take a peek but im fascinated about how much this has been affecting me over the past year . I feel like im in a mental version of lent , but for how long i have no idea ! Well thats as close as i can to find words to describe what im trying to achieve.....and then there's all the guff you talk on facebook , when all you want is approval !!! Well dont we all ???  Denail could be the new ROCK'N ROLL........

Yes some inhabitants of the dale are actively seeking to organize broadband to weave its fiber optic way up the dale in the near future . The only stumbling block they have failed yet to see is getting each individual field owner to agree to let it cross his land.....impossible but do able ???

R.I.P facebook

Well ive had it with Facebook . No I really have . It feels dead and stagnant . Friends post ready made humour status updates , often incorpurating a funny or cuddly animal photograph  . These posts give no personal input  what so ever and quite frankly are lazy , impersonal or plain cheesy or worse moral . They give no idea what the user is thinking or doing , so what good is that to me ?
 Secondly when people dont reply to messages after reading them this annoys me intensely , i mean why ? Again this is no use to me . Seeing a friend face to face beats this shit hands down , plus you actualy have something to talk about . FB is a lot of bollocks i wont be partaking in for a while at least . I no longer have the mental energy .  So i'll see you around.... Sorry !  A link to my blog will be my only post from now on . Period .

Hows your week ?

Well firstly let me say ive had a hellish week resulting in no blog or facebook posts . Its been a week thats left me with a different out look . In fact I feel a different person no less to be honest . So heres a run down of the weeks disasters in no particular order....

1) Smashed my lap top screen in a bad mood
2) Got conned into giving on line access to a African scammer ( Pakistani ) who said he was from Microsoft over the phone.....
3)Landrover stolen
4)Quad bike stolen
5)Flattened a sheep (by mistake ! )
6)Skybox playing up
7)TV picture gone green
8) Caught projectile vomiting bug

And next Facebook.......      Oh yeah and this is David here and not anyone else , but of course you know that dont you ?!!!

How I laughed last night watching The Best of The Kenny Everet show  . Brought back memories I can tell you , though as an adult I guess I saw the show for all its irony's and piss takes . A very simple , humorous comedy program .

Kendal R.I.P

Whats happened to Kendal ?  Its slowly become a mass of  Booze stores , Charity shops and Pawn shops plus more than a few empty shop fronts boarded up . This has happened very fast , but Kendal always had its head up its own ass with a " why do you want to buy that ? " mentality often displayed by its retail workers. Its people were insular and far too secure in the glorious past when the Lakes were not in competition with foriegn holiday destinations or Internet / ebay shops . Add to this stupid Lib Dem bearded with glasses councillors commissioning corrupted traffic flow and pollution reports to justify a stupid pedestrianisation of the town no one wanted and you have the perfect storm  ....  Oh and a years constant rain is the final nail ( maybe I exagerate ) in the coffin !

A fate worse than death

What a week . Cant decide if im coming or going ! Cant decide anything in fact . Got a busy weekend ahead and not much time to spare . Smashed my laptop screen in a bad temper cos it wouldnt dail up ... now to get it fixed Doh ! Gonna be a strange weekend....

Water up date

Had a lovely bath in the new unexplained water . It was clean and nice . It shouldnt exist if im honest but I aint complaining . Well the bath was full so i guess it was there  LOL
   Heard today our new neighbours are planning to drill their own bore hole soon so they to are getting In on the water scene ...Choas !

Can you beat this ???

Well this week is turning into a bizarre one even by my standards . Feeling very uneasy indeed . Today saw my most baffling water based problem yet . Those of you who follow my ramblings will be familiar with my ever runnings in with water in its various rebellious guises...
   A neighbour came round today in a flap saying our water tank on the hill side was empty . I went to look and it was empty too . Completely empty . So down I went to tell my family who quickly showed me plenty of water pressure , and clean water in the farm house  ! But the tank was empty... Next I turned off the main  stop tap  , the only stop tap from the big tank and guess what the taps in the house  still had normal pressure  . So the tank was dry and the stop tap was off ! So where the f**** was the water coming from then ????  IMPOSSIBLE BUT POSSIBLE it was gushing out as normal . It was coming from else where through our pipes . Ive had some strange water incidents but this one leaves me feeling a bit unhinged to be honest . This takes the piss....

Its cold

Sat having tea in Dent . Snow showers are frequent and its a freezing cold dry March . Winter strikes when you least expect it . The wind is howling round the window frames . The snow is only settling on the hill tops and I expect once you get out of the hills there isnt much on the roads . Oh and did i mention its COLD !!!

God save the Queen

So our Queen is recovering in hospital from the flu . Fair enough at her age ... so she is to miss her planned trip to Rome to visit the out going Pope . Bummer . The fact that the head of our Roman Catholic Church has resigned over gay sex  claims  has nothing to do with it then ?  He  has forfited his chance to vote for the new  Pope and will leave Great Britain with no say in the matter . That must be embaressing for the queen surely !!! Well we can all come up with good excuses when we want to avoid someone...
