Unbelievable

Oh, the irony.... Ive just received a cold call from a company acquiring  compensation for hearing loss caused by working in a noisy environment, the only trouble was I couldn't hear what the man on the phone was saying , so I hung up !  

This is extremely bad timing as I have just today received a personal injury claim against  me from such a parasitic firm in relation to a traffic accident I wrote about on here last November. A curse of our modern age, and no mistake.

It is totally beyond me why there is a market for super dried pet foods. Apparently they are better value as they contain less water. That may be so, but your dog or cat will need to drink much more water from another source, and is that really a good idea during a heat wave ? Im sure a dog or cat enjoys much more a conventional canned juicy meat, rather than some driedly biscuits. Poor things, they are the victims of their owners desire for a clean, quick and supposedly economical feed source, but what about pleasure in this scenario ? After all YOU wouldn't like to live off those rubbishly serial breakfast bars 24/7 that they claim are so tastey you,ll prefer them over a bacon butty ( as if... ) would you ? Nope, well don't inflict it on another then....

Running out of distractions ?

Its been a long hot Summer (and its barely started yet ) and people in general are tense. Were not used to long periods of heat in this country and once the novelty and euphoria of hot weather passes, the reality of work and everyday problems we face returns to the fore front of our minds.

 We British are very guilty of using the weather as an issue to distract us from the everyday mundane issues we routinely deal with. When people realise the lovely hot weather is here for keeps, then frustration and anger soon arises as they are forced to find new all conquering  distractions once again  ! This is what really causes tempers to fray in the heat. Its suddenly finding the need to blow  up little issues into more definitive distractions. Thats why people really loose it in the heat !!

No comment

I have been writing a blog for nearly three years, and ive only everhad one person who left any comments, this was however for quite a while on a consistent basis. This was the exception though, but why ? When I look at other blogs myself I see comments are rare on them too. My page views are there, so why no comments? Are people just wary or just not interested enough to leave one ?

  Said person who used to comment regular had a very dim view of the average person you can expect to meet on line, and maybe thats why people dont comment. Is it fear ? This person then deleted all the people who had befriended her blog and retained only the blogs she had found first. This seems to suggest a view that bad people are more likely to find us than we stumble across them ! Is this the way we think ? Ive even found myself thinking along the same lines at certain times. Again this suggests leaving comments on a blog YOU,VE found is quite safe. So why dont more of YOU do it ?

  Its a funny paradox that on line people are very free with their views but very insular when it comes to communication. If they dont care enough about the blogs they read to comment, then why view them on a regular basis ? Odd....

Women will be women...

I have never found it easy stopping in one building or location for long. Ive measured the time I feel comfortable, and its a max of 4 hours. This applies to weddings, auction marts or any social gathering. In fact in relation to purely chatting to people this figure drops to 2 hours, and It doesn't matter how enamoured with the person I am. In response to my social limitation my Sister said that that's why alcohol is so essential !

Bare this fact in mind when I tell you I had a 14hour day at Preston Hospital yesterday !

Some may find the young nurses very attention grabbing, and may suspect that they enjoy the attention they  traditionally receive by men. Some may think (and I did until now ) that the fact they wear make up while doing their job denotes a level of vanity, but I believe as they are learning they are far too absorbed with their serious work to be playing games and besides I witnessed a new breed of woman that loves to use this hospital environment to demand everyones attention ; the mature female consultant with the killer figure ! Oh, yes she flits in and out of her office or examination room as much as possible, peering up and down the corridor (or more likely standing or loitering in an exhibiting mode of body language that men will see at a thousand meters) Yes, she is quite aware she is top dog over well, everyone else who is younger (and she still has that great figure) She has it all and knows it. Whats more she has time to flaunt it the damned siren !!!
  She has perfected a sexy walk that requires a posture and a not too exaggerated swing of the hips as she doesn't want to look to be as crass as being aware of her image, but oh she is ! Her simple but figure hugging choice of clothes gives the game away. Once she would have been invisible to me , but as Im getting older I see her clearly... Amusing you are ! She makes pretty young nurses look silly. She sorts out life and death situations and orchestrates the running of the ward . Why am I writing about this ? Well the reason I was in the hospital was my daughters minor operation and lets just say I had a lot of time on my hands yesterday...lol (some may say far too much time )  Forgive me...

Im not really feeling myself at the moment due to my daughter needing a minor operation that's being causing her a lot of stress. Im gittery and out of sorts. Anyway here's a photo I took last night behind our house. Summer is in full flow,and come Wednesday  this hassle will be behind me. Then it will be time to move on to the next problem I guess...

The genius of Peppa Pig

Over the past year I have been " forced " to watch many hours of Peppa Pig, due to my daughter of course. Yes I have my alibi ! After a years viewing I can now announce that as I always suspected this childrens cartoon is pure genius, and must require great skill to produce. Am I mad ?
  The amazing thing about Peppa Pig is the fine balance each episode requires. They must be simple enough to keep the attention of a toddler for 15 minutes and still somehow be quite acceptably watchable to an adult as well  That's quite a task isn't it ?
  The story lines are not too complex or to simple, they hit a certain balance that I would find a challenge to produce, in fact the little jokes included are often aimed at both adults watching and their children.
 I have grown to love this series and shall quite miss it now that Thomas the Tank Engine is my daughter's T.V program of choice..Maybe its the fact I used to check my blog stats every morning while it was playing on T.V ? It became part of my daily routine funnily...
