Easter

Again spring / easter holidays are holding up things , the return of our stolen landrover from the body shop and my laptop at the KTD  being fixed . This always happens in April . Anything takes ages to get done and its pissing me off intensely !!!  Bloody holidays . No wonder the economy is fucked.....

Plastic slinkys !!!

Today a young girl who was the daughter of a visitor to the farm this Easter had the modern version of a  "slinky " with her . It was no longer made of metal , but plastic and multi-coloured . It was too light to go slinking down the stairs like the old ones of my day , in fact it couldn't do much other than yo-yo . Another child hood toy re-invented and ruined..... All was not lost however as on leaving the girl quoted me saying to her Grandad    "  The slinky needs to be round , longer and made of metal ! "  Well they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery . Yeah that made me smile , and not much has recently !!!  Mmmm getting sentimental eh ? Well thats a new one. Must be my recent fatherhood .....
