I Just Want To Relax

Its getting worse, much worse. Many of the TV shows I watch are being overwhelmed by emotional back stories. For example a classic car restoration program I watch seems to find only cars to restore whose owners have, or are recovering from a serious disease, or even better who have recently suffered bereavement. If the car owner died leaving said car to their other half then this is presented with tears and all. Im getting sick of all the tears. Emotional stories have their place, but inserting them into car shows is not the time or the place. Im trying to relax. Save these stories for day time TV please...

Now the Chelsea Flower Show Garden Award has been won by a man whose garden was of an African design...yes you've guessed it, inspired by a charity. Again an emotional back story has swamped the public who have voted for this winner. Just watch out where this trend is going. Its going to ruin TV !
Its cold at the moment, and Spring is late. The leaves arent even out properly yet, and the air is cold. The odd burst of sunshine appears, but so do the hail showers ! Normally we would be turning our cows out around now, but there is no grass yet at all. Just as well we have extra feed in store for them.
Im weary and ready for my coming holiday this weekend. Im not as weary as some years, but when youve been feeding animals everyday since the middle of October you are ready for them to go outdoors. The cows are getting irritable with each other too. They spend all the time they can standing in the sun, not realising there is no grass yet outside. This will change quickly when the weather softens.
Ive been using the two young sheep dogs ive been training today, and ive got a real sense of satisfaction watching them rounding the sheep up and keeping them together. They have yet to remember the fields they are in and what direction Im aiming for but basically they seem to be eager to learn and obedient. This is good. They are nearly a year old, and make the other sheep dogs look old ! A fully trained sheep dog cost two thousand pounds. The stage these two are at is the one thousand five hundred value I would say, so my time has been well spending the extra effort to get them trained despite it being a busy time of year.
