Lets just stick to " STRONG IS BEAUTIFUL " ?
Well we've had Elle Golding training her hair to be strong...not sure how she does that, but she says its the same method she uses to strengthen her body... Nope, i cant work that one out either. It's strange how everything feminine on TV adverts must now be linked to traditional masculine traits. Tonight's advertising example however took things to a whole new extreme level promoting the slogan ( and I'm not making this up... ) FEARLESS ABOUT VAGINAL HEALTH. Any further comment ? Er, make that a NO ! Unless i am fearful bout the vagina ? ffs lets not go there...

Is Sedbergh in recession ?
The fact this car has been for sale since Christmas, and is still so proves that my local town is either in recession or has serious reservations about its future finances. A white BMW diesel hatch back at low mileage ,and a reasonable price tag should have sold within days of being advertised. It is an aspirational vehicle for someone to trade up to. It is not a brand new car, but it will require the average person to take out a loan when they trade in against it. It is a measuring tool that eliminates people wealthy enough to buy new, hence its lack of sale seems to suggest the average person is sitting tight and not splashing out on an image upgrade that is not essential. As i said earlier this car encapsulates upward mobility (or the image of it ) so popular in this town amongst ordinary working people. Its a lot to read into a car, but when you know your town and your cars i think i can make the leap. ?We shall see...
