I wish i'd put this on golden !

The hardest part of life isnt the struggle to succeed cos that's do able . I find its the long spells of time between enjoying the fruits of the success that kill me .Waiting then more waiting punctuating the rhythms of life . Too relax between these events is now my key goal . This is where we all will find contentment .....

Today Evie has gone to a fancy dress party as Kermit the frog . A year ago this thought would have been laughable

Time is the filter ?

Wow i saw a very old picture of our farm from the 1700 's   . There were no modern buildings only the big barn and the farm house . The barn funnily enough has no round windows . They must have been put in later . But that would be a huge expensive act of vanity ..... Where the yard was was just a field. So strange it made me feel queezy . A few gateways were  in a different place but apart from that the fields were recognisable . Whernside Manor must have been hidden behined the trees but you could just make out Smithy Fold . There was no Syke Fold back then !                
   So much has gone on before you live in an area . Its hard to grasp we are only the here and now and maybe the future for a short while ! Everyone leaves their own mark though on the land and some will change that again no doubt in the future . Most unsettling.

Its the weekend

Well its the time of the week when i start thinking what to do at the weekend .So many factors to factor in nowadays .When did it all become so complicated ? Who is ill ? Who is likely to be in ? How does Evie fit in ?  How far do i want to trail ?  My heart will rule my head as always so who am i kidding ?

When do you stop ?

When dismantling an oppressive regime ( as you do in unsure times to give you a feel good factor ) the leader is often a fair target for death by an ugly manor . How far up or down the family tree should we go ? Bin Ladens family is wealthy and influential and he was a" black sheep " so are his children a target ? A worrying question which we all do not wanna know the answer too.

So tired , so tired.....

Im so tired in so many ways . Spring is dragging on slowly . Hayfever is dragging on slowly too . Why do the forecasters never state the pollen count when i find it worst . As soon as they start putting the figures on the maps i feel better as if the count is dropping . It must be tree pollen i think .Im sure they think if theres no flowers were not gonna put figures on the map . Annoying.
  Holiday is ages away yet .I just wanna go now and have a rest , sit down and do nothing .Im weary . Last night was the first visible start of a new moon and Venus was still very bright . A beautiful sight as i drove to Sedbergh .Everything has been emotional recently and i long for simplicity again but i guess its part of life . I am so tired .

Spring clean

Im busy at the moment so quality is slipping but will pick up in a month i expect ! Spring is a hard time for some .The new burst of life is unsettling and change bares down on you and theres no stopping the change of season . Mind sets change . Expectations change . People plan and fret , dig and decorate .

Women sports presenters

Female sports presenters . Where do they find them ? T o find a woman who is interested in sport  would be hard enough . To find an attractive one who has sufficient knowledge to pull off the job convincingly must be nigh on impossible . I cant see the queue stretching round the block for the job interview ,can you ?

Cruise

Well ive had a great time at the Kendal cruise . Call it sad if you want but a lot of modified cars gathered together always puts me in a good mood . Yes everyone is younger and seems to have more money than me nowadays but that was me once too so i cant complain ! Even the rain couldnt spoil the night . Relaxing and refreshing change from the norm.....

Waiting for darkness ? ( OZZY OSBOURNE )

God its bleak in Dent tonight ! There's a blasting North wind and cold drizzle . Its light and the trees are budding .Its harsh . A real no mans landscape . Half way to Spring and yet so uncomfortably cold and damp . April is the worst month of the year . I hate it , i always have . Feeling out of sorts and have the very strong feeling im waiting for something again and i have absolutely no clue what so ever what for !!! Sounds daft i know .

Arrrrrrrgh !

Banking HSBC style ! What a nightmare in my world .Got an automated message on my mobile to ring  them .So i got to work .Got my phone out to listen to answer message .Or rather i couldnt cos there is no signal in the house .So out to the road end i go to get a signal but couldnt hear the message properly for noisy cows . Due to a pakistani on a badly recorded recording i did this several times in a freezing wind .Having got through quickly came to a halt because my bank details were now down at Dent !I rang back with them only to be left on hold . God knows what they want as i m not overdrawn . Probaly some marketing thing.Oh and they shut my "local branch"  down as well . Way to go  ...

I need a rest.....

Its nice here .Peacful and safe . No unpredictablity and coarse comments to read . Safe and secluded. My zone and after recent times a welcome retreat . Facebook is a double edged sword but here its a one way street and its what i need at the moment .

  Reading a lot at the moment .Soon it will be warm enough to sit on my back doorstep at night which will be nice ! I now know why i bought the leather sofa as Evie projectile vomited on it but it wiped clean ! Random but true . No idea what this summer holds as events unfold bringing un-expected crap ! In a funny way needing some time to reflect whether all that glitters is really gold . Cant say i am settled .Feel like crawling into a cave......

Its one of those afternoons . Mid spring , mid afternoon and mid life in fact !!! Oh dear ive nothing much to say today . Had a big Chinese last night and have been scratching and sweating all night and still  feeling hot and uneasy and too full . Back to the drudge again after an unusual weekend .

  Helped one friend and shed another . I guess thats balanced an equation somewhere in the cosmos of my life . Yeah im everything i say i am .Fortunately and unfortunately . Who am i kidding im a one trick pony and always was ,but i do it well .

Most stupid thing ive heard in ALL my life

Last week i heard the most full of shit statement i have heard in ALL my life . A female security expert involved in the Olympics said an disruptive protester such as the Oxford boat race man who swam at the boats could be just as dangerous as an Alquida terrorist ! F******G  bullshit and bullshit again . Her stupid tensed up ,hyped up, tight arsed attitude was bristling with aggression , painting such a dark dangerous picture that should make us all soooo  worried . Absolute shit !

Todays bullshit

More CO2  bullshit today . The Lib Dems are wanting you to insulate your loft and have cavity wall insulation fitted if you are to be granted planning permission for your home improvements . Thats the deal as apparently home improvements cause more CO2 emmisions so must be off set !!! What a lot of rot .

Typical April . A blasting North wind and freezing rain /sleat . Temperatures have dropped 20 degrees in a few days . Wasnt long ago i was complaining i was too hot . Spring is so unpredictable . I find it the coldest time of year . The wind is blasting outside making a racket . After so much upheaval these last few weeks im beging to feel myself again . Listening to some old music helped last night and my old mind set just might re-surface

Titanic pile of shite !

I hated the film Titanic starring Di Caprio  when it came out years ago so i wont be going to see the 3D version brought out to dupe a new generation  ( the back door latch has just cracked its self sharpely again )  . Thanks to this overly emotional film i nearly went of Di Caprio hence i would have missed such ace films as INCEPTION ,THE BEACH , GANGS OF NEW YORK , THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY .... need i go on ?
   The sound track of emotional Irish music does my head in . And Kate Winslet is all that hot either as everyone reckoned back in the day . Maybe Kiera Knightly would have been more up my street but she was probaly about 5 years old back then !!!
  Yeah its special effects are great but it drags on , and on and on.....  A cinema full of sobbing girls didnt help my overall mood either . I wonder if they'll cry today still or are they a different breed now  ?  I think they are .....
We all know the ship will sink so just get on with it !!!!!!!!!
