Sounds way over the top ?  Well our country can kill for furthering democracy abroad , thats o.k .... yeah ....  and we can aid the deportation of Julian Assange of wikileaks to eventually face  a death sentence in the USA , that's o.k too . And you can terminate a unborn but thats a grey area still too for some but i'll place it with the above as questionable but probable .

One year on

So its nearly one year on since " that holiday !" and considering the fall out that occurred its not been the hellish year i forecast for myself  . I cant speak for others though as ive only had enough energy for my own " situations "  No i think ive weathered the storm  quite well and things have turned out OK . Only one loose end to tie up now or will it tie me up ummmmm, i shall see but its gonna be tricky......
   OMG ive made another human being ! Its taken 6 months to sink in... and sometimes , no lets be honest here it is quite disturbing or should i say rather alarming seeing a pair of eyes , real eyes summing you up in a solid little human . Of course some of you will remember my rather apprehensive attitude before hand and that still has its residues when you weren't to happy about being sent down that road , but yeah its worked out well cos I know it might not have done cos i know what i want or don't want . Luckly i swung the right way in the end !
  Its very wet again and humid tonight  . Work is uncomfortable . Waiting to see what comes next .... the end or the beginning , i hope the beginning. Its been a strange wet summer of slow burnings . New things are coming and the old cling on still but everything needs refreshing and now is the time , it really is ... so raise to the occasion !!! The time is near.....

Fuckin Lib Dems ! I hear today they want to lower the speed limit of 30mph  in towns to 20mph . No careful consideration and varying these  zones or enquiring where this  is  needed at  most  , no  just a blanket 20 mph limit  , full stop.  Thick , stupid retired teacher , anti -car , windmill building , anti nuclear , clueless , wolly thinking  nice cuddly wuddly bastards  !!!  And dont get me started on the House of Lord reform.......

Looking back at THE GOLDEN BLOG

WOW !   I have been looking back over my old posts on The Golden Blog . Its amusing remebering what inspired me to write back then . My descriptions of moonlight winter stormy nights reminds me how much i love winter , the cold winds and wild nights  . I think i was in my element . Reading old posts back to back is a heady experience ,especialy when you poured your heart and soul into the writing . I am very proud of the content and if you care yes that is the real me . You wont find anything else that comes close . So if you could be bothered to follow i hope youve enjoyed it as much as i have . Onwards it goes as life changes , my blogs will reflect this .
    Everything ive told you did happen as far as i know but your perceptions may differ occasionaly which is only healthy . Does anyone even read that blog ? I dont know as its counter doesnt register UK  views ( dont know why )   So its a mystery . Maybe thats the best way ha ha !

Typical August !

Well its a hazy , warm , muggy Sunday morning and the atmosphere in Dent is very still after all the previous nights frantic activity of haytime . It forecasts rain today.....   Today feels totally different to yesterday , a summer holiday type atmosphere . The type of day we woulds build dens back in our childhood . A breeze is getting up and what to  do  this afternoon i have no idea . A pork dinner is for sure though !
  A friend told me if you want to succeed at something you have to be indifferent too it . This may be true...

Remember the riots last year ? I was genuinely scared and rattled despite living in Cumbria to see town centres breaking down in what can only be described as anarchy and the police did not or could not stop it . Very scary . But there was something very simple about people just taking what they wanted cos they could . They always could have done this at any time in the past . All it took was confidence and the spirit of the moment and a little bit of courage  ! A mob just casually walked into an expensive restaurant and calmly robbed those having a meal of what possessions they had on them . Very simple indeed and un complicated for our modern complex  age .... you have it ... i want it !!!!  I have of course left out the moral side which interests me less unless innocents were hurt which is never acceptable....
    Im surprised this hasn't happened sooner and the police will have too do better next time....  but i suspect plans to cut their numbers by the government slowed down their enthusiasm in responding to a frightening , overwhelming  challenge....

Lock down

Went to Semewater this afternoon , a small lake near Hawes . This used to be a haunt of my childhood and was a family tradition in high summer . Quite poignant now i took Evie for the first time . Its my turn now.... Anyway on packing up i threw the keys on the drivers seat and shut the door while turning to Evie and the Fiesta promptly shut the central locking... Oh dear . Phone on the inside , Evie on the outside and a thunder storm brewing . Luckly the window was down just enough to hook the keys with a stick amazingly . Did my parents have stuff like this happen , probably , highly probably....

A many faced beast

Yes there are many faces too facebook . Some use it as a public P.R exorcise promoting their wholesome life and gently balance life style . Some try for attention baring their soul ( me )  and some try baring their own brand of outrageous lifestyle choices ! But it does show courage  of a sort .... Some promote the image of their relationship status . This is the most worrying to me . And there are a few who have a page so nice its actually a sophisticated precise weapon , a bayonet in a bunch of flowers for their specific victim . Dont worry cos their target will be singular .
