Strangely April feels like and looks like December . The trees are bare and black like they are in December . The light is dull like in December and the temperature is chilly and damp like in December . Im in a funny mood today (  when arent I  ?)  Its sunny but cold and ive started hayfever again which strangely eases in summer as everyone elses starts . Birds are singing . Ive run out of bread and theres nothing to eat . My eyes are sore and im hungry . Dont know what the weekend holds yet , not a clue . Was gonna get a hair cut but run out of time today . You get the picture ? Everything and nothing.....

Very stupid indeed

A rather silly trend has started in advertising . Aggressive attitudes towards diseases as if they are people or even more stupidly personal . A disease is not human , it does not care , its not personal . Ranting at it on an advert helps no one . Very fucking stupid . Cancer adverts started this silliness and now heart disease organizations have joined the madness . Oh dear !!!

The exception to the rule

Have you ever noticed that adverts never feature people who are of gay or lesbian appearance . No , they stick to the conventional hetro-sexual images , and when pounds and pence are at stake they play it ultra safe . After all gay people are a minority so you wouldn't use their image when trying to appeal to the majority  It makes sense when you think about it....
  Now here's the interesting part . Everywhere else in life this rule is reversed to the point of positive discrimination . In fact I'm surprised the gay rights lobby have not attacked the advertising industry yet .....I'm not taking sides here , just pointing out a bizarre observation !

Oh shit its a 4oclock in the morning rant im probably gonna regert tmrw......

Yeah its 4am . Yes the half moon is shining as the clouds drift over and im missing some things , really . Its been a long slow spring and I swear Spring has frozen in time.  Also getting to see several friends seems impossibly hard at the moment which is annoying.....Do you ever feel a blockage stopping you doing something ? A series of weekly obsticales  in the way . The only thing to do sometimes  is wait it out and look ahead . Hey heres an idea , maybe this is what fb was invented for ??? well some days yeah !  : )
  This post is typical of the stuff I used to wrote a few years ago when I first started my blog ...and now its back ?  Mmmmmm....

Dent today

Today the spring wind has been blasting up the dale but coming now from the West and rain has freshened the fields up a touch greener but still no buds on the trees yet . The clouds have been casting shadows blowing over the hills . Not to warm but not to cold either . The Ash trees light up in the sunshine briefly and appear as they do in March in the equinoxial gales . Things are a few weeks behind this spring . Oh and theres a new moon visable if that's a game changer ?

Margrate Thatcher in a van ?

Love her or loathe her Margaret Thatcher was one of the worlds most noticed leaders .She died in The Ritz hotel of London no less , but her body was removed in a Ford Transit van . Even the worlds greatest leaders are humbled in death . But this isn't as bad as you may think because it was the votes of  the " white van man " who she appealed too with ideas of aspiration that first brought her to power !!! So all in all a full circle has been achieved .....

An important lesson learned

Recently ive learnt an important lesson . That a social networking sites give you the illusion of a utopian version of socialising with your friends . Its easy , quick and addictive when its going well but when it aint its just frustrating and is an annoyance when youre busy or stressed with life that you will be better off  using a little less ... That's a shame cos the concept is a cracker depending on what you use it for and who . When it starts to affect " real " life views on people caused by technical follies and upsets then I cant have my friend ships at the mercy of wether I get a response on there or not . I cant be that reckless anymore so am sticking to more face to face interaction for a while and a little less obsessive logging on every five minutes  . Yes I miss it but the cost was getting too high and having a chaotic , stressful month was the tipping point . Yes Im still on regular if you need to get in touch though !!!    :  )

On hold for now.....

Im so tired and have a headache . Its cold . Its been a rough few weeks on all levels . Im out of energy for anything except planning my holiday to Tintagel and boy do i need it this year as events map out violently before me with no respect for the past year , but i knew this was coming as its a next chapter scenario again .... So when i find the energy i'll kick  ass but for know fuck it !
 Winter is holding on with a vengeance and no trees are budding and the land is as a desert with no grass whatsoever , and theres a bitter North wind been blowing for weeks . It feels like a season frozen in time but like life when it finaly changes it will be in a blur at breakneck speed .

I have never seen anyone make money on a house . Ive seen them drop unexpectedly , ive seen them double only to be reinvested again in bigger property's that are sold in divorce proceedings . Ive seen people buy bargains then try and spend there way out of the bargain . Ive seen interest only mortgages . Its all shit . Easter

Again spring / easter holidays are holding up things , the return of our stolen landrover from the body shop and my laptop at the KTD  being fixed . This always happens in April . Anything takes ages to get done and its pissing me off intensely !!!  Bloody holidays . No wonder the economy is fucked.....

Plastic slinkys !!!

Today a young girl who was the daughter of a visitor to the farm this Easter had the modern version of a  "slinky " with her . It was no longer made of metal , but plastic and multi-coloured . It was too light to go slinking down the stairs like the old ones of my day , in fact it couldn't do much other than yo-yo . Another child hood toy re-invented and ruined..... All was not lost however as on leaving the girl quoted me saying to her Grandad    "  The slinky needs to be round , longer and made of metal ! "  Well they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery . Yeah that made me smile , and not much has recently !!!  Mmmm getting sentimental eh ? Well thats a new one. Must be my recent fatherhood .....
