The exception to the rule

Have you ever noticed that adverts never feature people who are of gay or lesbian appearance . No , they stick to the conventional hetro-sexual images , and when pounds and pence are at stake they play it ultra safe . After all gay people are a minority so you wouldn't use their image when trying to appeal to the majority  It makes sense when you think about it....
  Now here's the interesting part . Everywhere else in life this rule is reversed to the point of positive discrimination . In fact I'm surprised the gay rights lobby have not attacked the advertising industry yet .....I'm not taking sides here , just pointing out a bizarre observation !
