Tonight after a grand total of 15 years great service my JVC Boomblaster has lost its CD function and tape deck ( remember those ? ) quite literally as my photo shows ! The time has come to but another . The best feature about this model is the bass . Im not even sure many similar priced stereo systems can compare and of course my Boomblaster ( yes that's the models name ) is portable , well despite the heavy weight they still make that claim . The abuse mine has put up with over the years has been unbelievable as ive carted it from pillar to post as people who have seen me will tell you is a fair sight . Yes , portable is rather a large claim . Yes this is truly the end of an era . My next job will be working out how to use the new model . Lets hope some idiot hasnt ruined it . What are the chances ? Er.... here we go again !

R.I.P JVC
