I see a relation of mine has been having an anti rant about Gay marriage on his fb page ! My response to this debauched situation is that I cant understand why anyone would really want to get married ! Most people are turning their backs on such nonsense , so why are Gay people so keen to catch us up ? Its beyond me .
  Already they have Civil Partnerships , but they want to be bonded in the eyes of God . Sorry , but that isn't happening . Dion Fortune said marriages of unbelievers in Church was little more than the mating of farm yard animals and I cant even say that Gay people have even that low level of an excuse to enter  in to a Church sanctioned marriage , and that's before you even look at what the Scriptures say...

My mouth again .

Nothing feels real tonight . Ive booked an emergency appointment at my Dentist as today my long running gum problem was agony . Im taking some strong pain killers so Im feeling a bit distant . Im not sure if acid is causing the problem , as after eating seems the worst time for the pain . Today I bit on a hard piece of bacon and thought my head was going to explode with pain , and that has set off my gums stinging . Oh . and ive chronic tarter as well which is getting worse and worse and my dentist says no one understands what causes it . He is in for a fun day tomorrow . I feel all heady now . Urrrgh ! Yes Im in pain !

Update : It seems I was right to get an emergency appointment as when the Dentist examined a tooth he found a fracture in it and a route canal infection that in his words would have resulted in a " pretty horrendous weekend " . The future cost of this to rectify ? £200 !!! And three or more appointments . Of course the solution to this debacle quickly came to mind with a basic no nonsense Agricultural style philosophy and  asked to have the said tooth removed  instead as it is out of site anyway, and will remove any further risk of infection to boot .Perfect !

On returning to my car I find I have a parking fine . Only in Britain do you get fined £25 for not having a £1.80 ticket that's up to date ...

My face book page is dead . Well it still exists , but due to asking someone else to change my password for me and then said person forgetting what they had changed the new password to , I can no longer access my page . Why would I have someone do this ? Well it was a temporary idea to limit the amount of time I spent on there . Its worked ! Of course I could re-set my pass word to re-gain my entry to my page but funnily I don't want to . Maybe this is the perfect excuse to leave it all behind . I sometimes wondered if subconsciously I had planned this little caper all along....

   The irony is though that some younger members of our family set the page up for me about 2 years ago as a joke of sorts without me knowing . Well I said I didn't care if they did this and didn't think they would spend the time and energy doing it . I was wrong ! Anyway I ended up with a page by default strangely , and now Ive lost it in a similar manner and Im really not too bothered . It was hell really . Here ends the sorry story of my on line debacle . A full circle reveals the truth I guess .

  There were times face book was fun . There were times it was hell . For example having to look on a daily basis at some things that were extremely personally disturbing , of course only to me . That was the problem . You see one single picture  encompassed every ones reality , and I started to have problems deciding how real situations were on there , when in real life what I saw was contradictory . That fuelled a few with drawls over the past few years . When used for trivial messing around I guess its fine , but for anything that matters to you I would advise to sticking to a less public medium .

  Like many there were times when face book caused me to feel ill when logging on . Before anyone laughs ( because we all have our points of life that hold us hostage ) I know several people who have had " problems " caused by this social networking site that were similar . Turning on each day to see what abomination someone had posted was like playing Russian Roulette . Of course all this was subjective only to me , and there lies the problem . Others don't know your inner workings, and to be exposed on a daily basis to some things that once were out of site elsewhere in life is I believe an extremely dangerous situation , not to mention un-natural to .
  Oh Yes , Ive made the right decision to stay away from this site . Im going to stop writing before I drag the past back up . The end !

Today is a weary March day . Its spitting rain , the birds are singing and the crows are making vague Spring like noises . Its like a hundred dull March afternoons that have gone before in this dale . I can almost feel them all consecutively going back generations to the same gloomy skies of March . Im not even tired enough to have a proper rant . Even that feels beyond me to today . All is tepid .
  I feel comfortably full and sluggish , quite relaxed too . There is a Summer ahead . No use in rushing things . I wait . I wait .

A rare beast

The BBC World Service has no right to be so damned interesting during the middle of the night , and it often is so . Why is this ? Because it repeatedly broadcasts situations or views from around the world that have NO CONNECTION to current affairs or recent news events . When it does however present a mainstream  news topic though , it is often  from a world view outlook or prospective ; Somehow this makes its programs subject matter ten times the more interesting. Its so British and yet not so ! Yes, its not inward looking  . Its perfect , and not yet ruined...One day all radio will be this way as people turn away from the mainstream of personality led fact presentation and sound bite analysis .

A worth while investment ?

Today I had my suspicions confirmed as to the true value of money nowadays . While speaking to someone at my bank it was suggested to me that it would be more efficient for me to pay off my credit card with a lump sum from my savings ( due to the low interest rate my savings were receiving and the high one my card was charging me / my credit card 19% and my savings 1% approx. )  Off course once the money had payed off the card it was gone . This didn't seem to register as a problem . Off course the bank would want me to clear the card in one go , wouldn't they ? But then they would loose the interest I would  have payed in the future . It seemed more important to make a short term gain for themselves I guess . Are they gathering in all they can as fast as possible , and does this mean they see trouble ahead ?  Is money only fit for paying off debt ? Is this its new worth ? Does this deal qualify as an investment ?!

Well I should hope so considering all the billions of pounds we have printed . If this wasn't so I really would be worried... All must be rosey in the garden !

Some things never change...

Very suspicious !

Today I found some suspiciously loose wheel nuts on a piece of farm machinery . Someone's
done this on purpose with the intention of the wheel eventually dropping off causing me great hassle , or maybe someone was interrupted while trying to steal it . That is the more likely scenario come to think of it . Either way it was dangerous situation, and even leaving a machine near a road however minor is fraught with unpleasant possibilities . Whats the world coming too ?

And the moral of the story is ...

I went to visit some friends I only see occasionally last weekend . During the afternoon a brother of one of the couple called in for Sunday dinner . He was looking through the photo's on an old battered mobile which he gleefully told me he had found in the middle of the road , and with the many single track roads surrounding the house I had no reason not to think his claim was true .
   As I flicked mischievously through the photo's I came across the picture of a large axe on a car front seat , two dead squirrels laid beside a rifle , a chainsaw and a photo of a man in a full gorilla suit ! I commented on how the phone must have belonged to a physco or a weirdo or even a budding serial killer . On looking at the next photo I saw the man in the gorilla suit had removed his mask and there was the face of the man who had just handed me the phone . Oh dear , I had fallen for his daft story about finding the phone in the road , but he obviously hadn't counted on my reaction to his random photo's . I just laughed and acted as though I had been in on the joke all along . What else could I do ?

March has come in like a lion...

Not everything is rubbish ! ( forgive the pun )

 Yes, I often moan about how how products are no longer what they were , but the Henry Hoover bucks that trend . Its light , simple , powerful and has a wind away flex . It is a man hoover too as its easy to fix and parts are a plenty . Pull it along banging and crashing around while hoover out my car and no ill effects ever come about . Its tuff ! Its rugged ( judging by the marks on ours ) And yes we arent renown for being gentle in my house... My biggest mistake before buying this product was I almost wrote it off because it had two big googly eyes on the front , but I then told myself if it had them on the front then it must be good as no one would stoop that low to sex up a poor product ! I was correct , the eyes just enhance the character of a truly great appliance . Lets hear it for Henry !!!

No, I need more than the bare necessities nowadays !  Ive been forced to watch rather too much Jungle Book than is healthy at the moment . The more I watch it , the more genius I see there . Also watching the making of the animated characters and the methods of bringing them to life on the DVD extras section furthers my respect for Walt Disney . He knew how not to " over egg " scenes and he knew how to balance a story as the deleted scenes show . Creativity impresses me and I feel a parallel ( however small ) to writing and designing a blog that reflects my character , whatever that is nowadays...

Laptops /Windows 8

Im sick of this laptop and ive had a belly full of Windows 8 as well . Every time I log on something else is wrong . Today the screen has elongated and wont go back by fiddling with the touch pad . Yes, the touch pad that shunts me onto another bloody page at random . That's driving me mad too . My blog dimensions and widths change at random everyday and need resetting or maybe its that damn zoom in function which when I need it doesn't bloody work . Ever since I got this laptop ive had nothing but stress and very little pleasure in its use . From day one this has been driving me mad and I am now just about sick of it . How has anyone managed to fuck up the simple pleasure of accessing the Internet ? I don't know how , but by god they've done a proper job of it !!!  

Im going to read a book now . You open it ,you read it , you close it and guess what ? Tomorrow its just as it was and just as you left it . Of course this has been messed with ...KINDLE !!! Of course im not that stupid...

How hard can it be ?

This weekend I bought a T-Shirt from Sports Direct in Morecambe ( no Im not going chav ) and was very pleased with the quality , and it fit well which is always  problematic for me . Anyway I thought I'd better buy a second one while I was there ( 60 mile round journey ) but there was a snag  . The assistant told me that they only stock one T-Shirt of each size and that's only replaced once its sold . The replacement would come in four days time ?! This is a very large company that is a famous success story despite the economic times , and they don't have two identical T-Shirts in the same size for sale ? I guess its called efficiency , and I could understand this on a small market stall holder who had a tight turnover  , but from a multi million pound high street giant ? I was flabber ghasted !!!  Times must indeed be hard .

Weather changes moods...

 

Today has marked a change in the season . Suddenly it seems the rain has gone and we are to see a dry week . This is classic March weather ; grey over cast skies , wind roaring through the tree tops and nice dry light coloured roads . Somehow that's important to me .
  This week I have been repairing walls and fences which is an endless time consuming job that needs doing amongst the daily feeding of all the animals . Yes they are all either inside being fed  now or even those out side need feed for the next few weeks . As this is the first dry spell this year Im hoping to be able to get on the land to empty our over full slurry store before it starts running down the road quite literally . No, the holidaying neighbours next door wont like it but the time has come and the sheep will soon need the extra grass this should bring .
  If I wash my car this week it will stay clean all week due to the dry weather . I thought about waxing it today but I couldn't be bothered , then another cow calved and my enthusiasm for doing it dried up . As you get older just washing your car and hovering it out is as far as you get , but once when I had more extra energy I would have done it , never mind .
   Ive started messing around with this blogs look so don't be surprised if it goes through some odd visual stages and like the weather if you don't like the way it looks at a particular moment then just wait  a second and it will probably change !

This is one of my favourite films . The first time I watched this film it really struck a chord with me as at the farm we were going through a stressful time as people in authority had inaccurate  farm movement records , this very nearly resulted in a prosecution for us ,  even though we were not  the party at fault .  I felt very persecuted and felt my parents were being put under a lot of stress because someone else had recorded some details wrong . That sort of thing rattles you and this film offered hope against the bullying type depicted here and the bullying  type we were experiencing in real life ... Its such a long trailer you may as well have watched the film ! This is becoming more common nowadays... lol

Where has the glamour gone ? Where have all the fast cars gone ? Where has that easy peace of mind gone ? Where has that dull reassurance that everything will be OK gone ? Now there is just survival ahead . What happened ?

Strangely the preferred time a clock face must show that's being used for display or advertisement purposes is 10.10   ?    If you check this out , you will soon find however unlikely this may sound that it is indeed  true .  This is apparently the most appealing time to display when seducing a potential customer by making some kind of mental connection . You could say its an archetypal number or time .

Its only March and already our weather forecasters are talking up the temperature or more accurately ( or inaccurately ) what levels they may reach in the days ahead , or ideally in time for the all conquering weekend  .

This week ive caught my Focus wing mirror three times in a narrow alley I use as a short cut to my house in the village . I never catch my mirrors there , after all a twice daily passage through gives me plenty of practise  in the art . Mmm . Then today I pulled in for someone on our road and thought I was stuck in the mud in the hedge row . It turns out my handbrake was still on . I had forgot to release it .  Ive never done that before either . Standards are slipping . Tonight I cant type a word correctly and my sentences sound all wrong and look all wrong . Doh !

The Matrix trilogy of films I think stand the test of time . The films are still fresh looking today , haven't aged one bit , or ever been equalled I think . The fight scenes still look good and the costume choices for the characters are timeless. Maybe that's the films secret ? Anyway after happening to record one last week I shall put my neck out and say they are the best of  modern cinema . Don't be put off by the official Hollywood type trailers as they are better than they ever can convey , as this scene proves.

Anarchy ( but not in the U.K )

Ive spent the last year watching various countries around the globe have their Governments toppled by their own populations . I have then watched various undesirables play at " democracy " but in reality they just settle old scores or turn on a new minority . This is little more than ANARCHY  and we the West are so quick to promote change without a care about what we may be giving our support to in the future . We have a suck it and see policy about the future .
   I think they find this all quite acceptable when the results are thousands of miles away as Egypt and Libya are , but just how sensible is this reckless thinking in the Ukraine ? This country is on the edge of Europe and still our Foreign Sectary William Hague is playing the fast and loose game giving backing to god knows who to form a " democratic " government ( but only because this annoys , and flies in the face of Russia )    Playing this silly game of Anarchy so close to home is reckless . I am waiting for the day a European Government is suddenly over thrown by its random population . What then ? Oh you can be sure by then these democratic revolutionary's will be called radicals , terrorists and de- stabilisers !  When you look at Spain or Greece , how have they not totally lost control of their Governments ? I deeply suspect that the people in The Middle Eastern  countries  have had a little extra help in their quest to topple the status quo .   No , we wont see any regime change in Europe

Im going back to bed ( though I'll probaly spend all afternoon on here )

Today is a boring grey damp and dreary Sunday afternoon in March . I think this says it all . Im tired but I cant sleep . Im bored rigid but I cant be bothered to do anything . My hands are dry and catching on every material I touch . This is tiresome .
    My new " Boom Blaster " arrived late this weekend , and its a light weight poor sounding modern version of the original . It has smaller speakers and a tight  strained bass that's just tries  to hard to sound " loud " . My old one produced bass with ease un like this modern piece of plastic cheap feeling ( it isn't a cheap price )  crap ! Yes , back its going to Amazon . In not paying top whack for a mediocre product even if that's the modern way . Of course it has MP3 connections and a USB port ect but where is the LW radio ? There is only FM . Cant get FM here , so that's no good for starters .Anything modern is sh1t . All the accountants and penny counters have ruined this JVC product and the sad thing is that most people who buy it will never know how good the original was . I have only myself to blame and lets be honest here , what did I really expect ?
  

If you have a minute...

Having the house to my self last night made me realise how short my attention span has become . I watched a full film last night in one go instead of over two different nights which has somehow  become my preferred method of film watching , and bizarrely I couldn't tell you when this trend started . I can tell you though after an hour of watching a film I get uneasy . Maybe films arent as good or well paced as they were , or maybe they are to quickly paced , giving everything away too fast  ? Or maybe its the instant gratification of the Internet thats always calling in the background  ; Ebay , blogger , Face book ect all give that feeling  we constantly search for . They however do it in a flash and then what ? Well that dull sat in your chair feeling returns
    We have all become short term seekers of stimulation , hence an hour and a half sat in your home feels like a life time to spend watching a film . This is more so with a family , as noise and disturbance intrude every few minutes . Of course this isnt a problem at a Cinema , but still I feel the need to eat in a film or drink . Again I think its that annoying little need for instant gratification . Its the spirit of the age. The time scale of effort for reward has changed . What may have taken weeks to get said to someone now can be relayed instantly . So then what ?
    Then what ? Its a phrase I keep coming back to. The things I would spend a long while looking forward to are now the things that are over in a flash . Yes , the internet is much to blame for changing our perception of the time scale that's acceptable for seeking pleasure . Films for instance can be down loaded , but there goes a chance to get out for a night even if it did mean a fifty mile round journey ! Ebay means I can order anything I need instantly . Gone are those Saturday afternoons off shopping ! Again everything pleasure wise has speeded up.
   For the generation that's grown up with online from day one its brought them their own particular problems , but they aren't even clued up enough to even acknowledge them . As for my generation we can remember a different age . We have had to adapt . We have seen great change . It takes its toll . This is not our natural state after all . In fact we were ambushed no less ...
