FIFA has the most excellent example of true democracy ive come across - ONE COUNTRY - ONE VOTE ! This means a small country in Africa has the same voting power as America or the U.K - Just one vote each. I still cant believe this. There is a problem though as African countries run on corruption, and it only takes a few to be nobbled to outweigh the traditional Western countries which hold the most historically dedicated football fans. Maybe true democracy is dangerous then ?

I Hate To Mention Football But...

Whats Happened To F- ing Radio 4 ?
Well, ive finally become " ...disgusted of Tunbridge Wells... " Yes, this week ive been quite offended by Radio 4 . Twice ive heard the F - word used in one day alone. O.K, this word was used in an artistic sense as it it was part of a songs lyrics, but I don't expect to hear this word on Radio 4 ! The second time this expletive was used was during a very alternative comedy show. Again not what I expect from this station, or the BBC
My own language is not the best, but that's not the point. Radio 4 is seen as the last bastion of high standards. That's my problem here. I don't know what is going on at the moment but it appears Radio 4 has split into two different mind sets that's are in complete denial of each other. I guess they think that never the twain shall meet... On one hand we have the traditional news based shows, and then there are ever more increasingly alternative comedy sketch shows. These are getting really alternative now, and as they are on air late at night are impossible to follow and just come across a racket.
I cant believe how I sound typing this post. Times must really be moving on if Im saying these things about a very conservative radio station. Two halves of this station are going to collide soon. Listeners will not tolerate both these two styles. Whats the answer then ? Well I hold aloft the BBC World Service as a broadcasting model. Its globally based, fascinating and illuminating. Its a breath of fresh air. Oh, and I love their edgy world music jingles !

I Just Want To Relax
Its getting worse, much worse. Many of the TV shows I watch are being overwhelmed by emotional back stories. For example a classic car restoration program I watch seems to find only cars to restore whose owners have, or are recovering from a serious disease, or even better who have recently suffered bereavement. If the car owner died leaving said car to their other half then this is presented with tears and all. Im getting sick of all the tears. Emotional stories have their place, but inserting them into car shows is not the time or the place. Im trying to relax. Save these stories for day time TV please...
Now the Chelsea Flower Show Garden Award has been won by a man whose garden was of an African design...yes you've guessed it, inspired by a charity. Again an emotional back story has swamped the public who have voted for this winner. Just watch out where this trend is going. Its going to ruin TV !

Its cold at the moment, and Spring is late. The leaves arent even out properly yet, and the air is cold. The odd burst of sunshine appears, but so do the hail showers ! Normally we would be turning our cows out around now, but there is no grass yet at all. Just as well we have extra feed in store for them.
Im weary and ready for my coming holiday this weekend. Im not as weary as some years, but when youve been feeding animals everyday since the middle of October you are ready for them to go outdoors. The cows are getting irritable with each other too. They spend all the time they can standing in the sun, not realising there is no grass yet outside. This will change quickly when the weather softens.
Ive been using the two young sheep dogs ive been training today, and ive got a real sense of satisfaction watching them rounding the sheep up and keeping them together. They have yet to remember the fields they are in and what direction Im aiming for but basically they seem to be eager to learn and obedient. This is good. They are nearly a year old, and make the other sheep dogs look old ! A fully trained sheep dog cost two thousand pounds. The stage these two are at is the one thousand five hundred value I would say, so my time has been well spending the extra effort to get them trained despite it being a busy time of year.

Ive Reached That Moment
It happened last night. The moment It became clear that the world was truly insane. I was watching a news report about the upcoming Gay Marriage Referendum in Ireland. Funny how they get an official referendum and we just got a " debate ". Seeing people pushing the point that two people of the same sex should be able to raise children makes me sick, but thats not what flipped me. The moment occured when a Gay activist appeared masked, not in a balaclava, but in a plastic carrier bag with holes cut out for his eyes and mouth. He also sported a big bright red hat. What a sight. It was at this moment I shook my head and went to bed.
Of course appearing masked added to the image of him being under threat. A silly trick in a country that has seen the IRA in balaclavas. I doubt his life was under threat. The news reporter said that the YES vote may win as people opposed to the bill maybe shamed into staying at home, as they are deemed negative, and not progressive. If these people cannot be counted on turn out to say NO, then we have reached a sad state.

Carney: UK productivity not harmed by foreign workers
I guess alls happy in the garden then ?
Is this an automated narrator ?! Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
Foreign workers drag down UK wages, says Mark Carney
I find it most worrying that this news story was only released AFTER the election, and there has been NO mention of it on the TV news, only radio and online coverage has happened. This is blatantly a conspiracy. The very fact this man has had to narrate this story himself ,proves that some people still have their eyes open. 1 in 6 UK workers weren't born here. Just how was this shocking story buried ? And I thought The Bank of England was now politically neutral ? Fat chance. On a lighter note though, Mark Carney would make a good 007 don't you think ? And I do like his smooth accent...
