Not much seems to have changed, apart from losing a list of the countries from which the page views came from...the best part of the stats service i think. The most important or interesting part of blogging for me. Why oh why would someone want to delete that service from stats ? Well i asked for that, and im bearing in mind that like  the " try the new facebook " button, these changes would have eventually been foisted upon me anyway. You see they always give you a choice first...

I have just spent an hour sat next to a woman in an audience who made a sloshing noise with her tongue a a rate of about one slap a minute. Im getting very tired of people around me making involuntary grunts and noises from their throats. There is a lot of this kind of thing about at the moment.
   Of coarse i think its all stress related, as i know several people on medication for mental problems who seem to make small guttural oral noises intermittently, and at such a frequency that the timing really gets to me. These noises seem involuntary ,or maybe even the person making them doesn't know what they are doing ? Worse still i imagine a part of them thats been cut off to allow mental healing is rebelling and manifesting these noises as an alarm for attention.
  Crunching of joints is another example here. I was unlucky enough to spend several evenings with a man who periodically cracked his toe joints. This however was done with full awareness, and became ever more annoying as the evenings progressed. Cracking knuckles is an old one, but toes ? It almost seemed to pass under the radar and this somehow seemed to just make things worse to me.
   All the above are probably symptoms of stress ,and ive seen such be forerunners to a mental episode. They may seem trivial at the time,  but sure enough, when one looks back they are seen as a warning sign that trouble is ahead.

Its all been a while coming, but as ive said before the start of just the brief appearance of gay images in adverts was the beginning of the thin edge of the wedge. The Co Op food store is selling strawberries that are being used to fund local charities. One such example given is  a LBGT organisation.
 Firstly why are food products funding sexual pressure groups ,and why are these groups classed as " charities " ? Of course there is money in this. the thin edge of the wedge started innocently enough with just adverts ,but the fuckers didn't stop at that...Just watch these bastard groups grow. They are already in schools. I don't give a hoot who is gay or not, as you will know if you know me in real life, but this situation is wrong. Really wrong.

What a great idea ( or is this just me )

At first on seeing this photo i thought what a great idea, as there is nothing worse than birds mucking on your car. But then i saw the shear amount of negative comments, some of which had hundreds of likes.  There is definitely something about preventing birds sitting in a tree, coupled with a persons pride in their car , or being protective of it, thats really fucked a lot of people off. It triggered a reflex aggressive reaction that was really nasty. As i said some comments got hundreds of likes and i didnt see another positive one despite mine. Maybe the idea of  " fancy  " cars displacing nature triggered an automatic reaction ?  It was implied that the car owners maybe wealth maybe the target in some of the comments, so maybe that riled people ? What ever the reason it really pissed people off...

Bring out the beast in you ?

We all know how much people love their dogs nowadays, and how they treat them as an equal. Dogs seem to bring out the best in their owners, at least most of the time. However ive noticed from much experience unfortunately ,that as soon as a persons dog is under threat from another they resort to a snarling, shrieking, wailing beast themselves. All decorum in public is suddenly forgotten, and in that split second an instinctive state of attack mode takes them over.
   This is very odd, for people always put on an a very polite and restrained act constantly in public. The yelling and shouting that ensues during dogs fighting seems to me to be a base desire to enter the fray themselves, and some do.. This reaches new levels when a family say are walking a dog. A pack no less ? In that second they return the rage of nature. Their guttural rantings are primeval.

 

There are more and more of these type of people about. I find it hard to find the words here, but you know what im saying...

This has me excited today

Its extremely rare to find an image that randomly captures the emotion of a certain age. There is something about the light at dusk here that reminds me of the 80's. Maybe its that excitement i used to feel at such moments and still due as the light fades. The car sticker brings back memories for sure, and the way those wires head off at an angle seems to suggest the future or optimism ?

At last im vindicated ! Today i heard a report by the Royal College of Surgeons highlighting the level of bite injuries caused by small dogs. These are rising at an out of control rate. Interesting after i have been ranting during my recent holiday about how on a daily basis i could not relax at any tourist location with out a yappy high pitched dog barking in my ear (dog number 3 )
  The problem is most families seem to find it essential to have one, and take it on holiday. It all seems very nice until you realise that every other bugger has brought one too....lol Add to this the fact they try to fight at every opportunity with other hyped up little dog and you have a recipe for chaos. People over react and treating their dogs as human, when all dogs  have an animal instinct to attack,or defend their owners. 
  Another problem is that people no longer keep their dogs outside, but keep them in their home. These dogs become hyped up and sensitive to every human emotion and changes in speech tone. Children are hyped up and this also causes dogs to also become over excited and here comes the snapping ,and biting ,and yelling and shouting and crying. Im sick of it !

Our attitude has changed against old discrimination's, but know we are obsessed with these groups, and criticising any of them for their crimes has become taboo in a manner that is of a similar unhealthy intensity as the original discriminatory attitude. Its all a joke here...

After being told the theft of our quad bike by a criminal already out on bail would lead to an automatic prison sentence, i was shocked to receive a letter saying that there was to be no prison sentence at all. Just a Community Order which requires the man to do so many hours work for society, oh and a Drugs course that he must attend. 
   What does it take to get a custodial sentence ? He stole while out on bail, he evaded arrest, didn't turn up at court, attended court eventually, was  released again and put under a curfew out on bail again, then was eventually given these courses and menial work as the only punishment ! 
   What message is this giving ? Of course the problem is drug related and some see it as pointless locking up such a person, but what about the public here ? When i think of all the effort and running around the Police did ,and do in like wise circumstances i just wonder why they bother at all.

My Granddad one bought a car in the 60's that had sawdust added to the gearbox to give a temporay smooth gear change. It got worse for him when the engine was stripped down to investigate a strange noise. Someone had wrapped a leather belt around a part to make it run quieter for a short while. I think garages now just hope for the best selling trade ins, and dump any problems on the " warranty " provider.

I was going to post the new Gillette razor advert showing how they are fucking with  traditional male identity, but on seeing their other offerings on You Tube regarding politically correct thinking, im now too angry to do this. not often that happens ! Hitler would be proud of advertising's ability to pump out social messages seamlessly and in an entertaining style.

Taking Out The Trash

Today i heard a man had died of Motor Neuron disease. This wasnt just any man, but one who had been responsible for a violent random assault on me and a friend about 20 years ago. My friend was kicked to the ground after being headbutted, and had i fallen the same treatment would have been dished out to me. 
  The worst thing was that at the hospital they new exactly who this man was from our description, and further more they confessed  they dealt with his victims came on a regular basis.  This was a blood sport and fun to him. I heard later he was sent to prison for dealing drugs soon after the assault. 
  This person was a nasty piece of shit, though a friend said everyone sang his praises at the funeral.  He said nothing of what he knew to be the truth, but it reeled inside of him. The streets are safer without him alive, and i wonder how much suffering he caused in total. 
  One spin off is that ever since that day, when i am in public, i am totally alert and aware of where everyone around me is ,and aware of who is approaching me and what mood they seem to carry. This instinct gets even stronger at night...

I dont know what this says about 2019 but i remember at Primary School going up to the teachers desk to ask for help with maths when really all us boys did was look down her unbuttoned shirt at her healthy cleavage. The Chip Shop Confessional

Have you ever just felt the overwhelming feeling that you have to go somewhere, even when every part of you is tired and doesn't want to ? This happened to me last week. I was so tired i was hardly fit to drive, but i was determined to travel to a cafe one night after work to get something nice to eat. My other half tried to persuade me to just stop at home, but the urge to go just carried me along.
  Immediately on walking through the cafe door i spied a face, and the only face in the cafe, the one of the man who had caused my back in the day best friends marriage to collapse. Of course it takes two to tango as they say. Strangely though, a few seconds before i had seen my friends ex-wife drive past, so when i saw this man it was a double shock.
  The affair caused quite a stir 15 years ago as both participants were Christian Youth School Workers. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then, but those old days seem so innocent looking back. It seems the man had a lot on his mind still from his past actions... he apologised for any  up heaval his actions had caused back then. I think he needed to speak to us and get another piece of closure as no doubt he had very negative expectations of our views of him. After all he was demonised for his in appropriate actions.
 Its quite surreal sitting in a cafe hearing a blast from the past confessing his sins, and i was rather relieved when i saw he had ordered a take away fish and chips. After he told us his adult son had committed suicide the previous year i found any further conversation hard. Anyway  to cut a long story short he got his closure with us, and i guess that's a good thing. 
  My friend went on to remarry as he thought it was " Gods will " and after what Ive witnessed that a phrase that sets alarm bells ringing. Turns out he jumped from the frying pan into the fire, but that's another story and a horrific one at that...
   

Its that time of year again...

 

I havent had a holiday or full day off since last August. Its a busy lambing time and ive been feeding animals indoors every day since November. By May i will probably explode. Its a good job ive booked a week away then, but for now that f season is upon me.

There is a reason i dont go on foreign holidays you know. It was bad enough going to my traditional Scottish haunt last Spring. Talking of mis-understandings of a comic nature, I got short changed by a blind shop keeper in a picturesque village shop there, resulting in a can of cola  costing me £5. I mean what can you say ? I was so angry and already stressed and tired due to a horrendous 10 month spell of rain at home. Its funny how a trivial moment can compound months of stress. Its these moment that find themselves in the papers and you shake your head thinking just what was that person thinking...we all snap eventually. Luckily i just let it go.
  Secondly, and on a more serious note later that day i was chased by a random van driver who over took me, jammed on his brakes and brought the fast busy road to a halt. He then got out of his van in the middle of the road and tried to attack my car. This resulted in a short chase before he gave up, thank god. I was scared and have no idea what it was all about to this day. Yes, holidays can go awry...lol

Im not quite sure how it happened. Suddenly a simple cup of tea seems to have turned against me despite a lifetimes enjoyment. It recently became apparent that after drinking tea i was feeling unwell and getting stomach ache. I eventually deduced i have simply become allergic to the milk the tea contains, and believe it or not i have been forced to resort to soya milk much to some peoples amusement, me being a Farmer and such, but it wasnt to stop there, oh,no...
  Around the same time, and especially at night i started to experience a palpitation type of hyper uneasiness. And again it took some time to track down the culprit as being tea. So youve guessed it, ive now had to convert to caffeine free, again to the amusement of some having spent years scoffing at those who already take their tea in this manner. 
  I had no idea a simple cup of tea could be the source of so much discomfort. So here i am tonight drinking my soya milk /  decaf tea. Whats going on ?

I'm really enjoying watching this unassuming young guy working on his cars on Youtube. This is how i grew up, learning as you go along. Working on cars also teaches you how to approach other mechanical problems. I fear the next generation will not continue in this vein, although this guy gives me hope. maybe i should film my mechanicing exploits, not ! On a final note, just where the hell do they find those cheesey and rather annoyingly catchy music tunes ?

Its all a blur of non stop promoting of agendas here in the UK . Every single day on my TV or radio there are several " news " stories about either sexual equality, racial equality, trans-gender discrimination or perceived anti-semitism. And i do mean everyday. Its becoming exhausting.
  I could start ranting about how angry and frustrated this all makes me, but a more interesting thought struck me recently - Just who decides what agendas are to be promoted and worried about ? Whoever these people are they can seamlessly slide their ideas into any media medium  at will, and further more they can create an atmosphere where to question the agendas immediately makes you appear to be a complete a social dinosaur. I call these unseen people / manipulators the Merlins. Come out, come out where ever you are... I mean who are these people ???

Just sick

What sort of person spends creative time, a substantial amount of time trying to slide sick images into children's You tube films ? Here are  some examples of corrupted animation, but ive seen horribly photoshoped distorted faces elsewhere, inserted into children's You tube films. They are so horrific they scare  even me. I cant look at them. I can only magine how a child will feel in this circumstance ? I have a 7 year old and hope to god she doesnt stumble upon this kind of thing..but what can i do ?

It's strange how everything feminine  on TV adverts must now be linked to traditional masculine traits. Tonight's  advertising example however took things to a whole new extreme level promoting the slogan ( and I'm not making this up... )  FEARLESS ABOUT VAGINAL HEALTH. Any further comment ? Er, make that a NO !  Unless i am fearful bout the vagina ? ffs lets not go there...

Is Sedbergh in recession ?

The fact this car has been for sale since Christmas, and is still so proves that my local town is either in recession or has serious reservations about its future finances. A white BMW diesel hatch back at low mileage ,and a reasonable price tag should have sold within days of being advertised. It is an aspirational vehicle for someone to trade up to. It is not a brand new car, but it will require the average person to take out a loan when they trade in against it. It is a measuring tool that eliminates people wealthy enough to buy new, hence its lack of sale seems to suggest the average person is sitting tight and not splashing out on an image upgrade that is not essential. As i said earlier this car encapsulates upward mobility (or the image of it ) so popular in this town amongst ordinary working people. Its a lot to read into a car, but when you know your town and your cars i think i can make the leap. ?We shall see...

Creatures of the night ?

Since when have Jackdaws become nocturnally active ? Gone are the days when they were all roosting or asleep when venturing outside to check animals on the farm last thing at night. In fact they are all wide awake lining up sat on a gate as if expecting some great event. Like humans they are taking advantage of what was once down time. What they are gaining though im not so sure as all animal feed has been eaten by that hour and scavenging opportunities by then are none existent. Maybe the gatherings are social ? After hours style...lol
